About

IB401 is an introductory entomology class at the University of Illinois, broadly covers insect biology.  The class is taught by Beetle biologist Larry Hanks, and this year’s TA is Jo-anne Holley, a PhD student in the Suarez ant lab.  This blog is intended for students, instructors and guests to share information about insects, whether it be local insect activity, relevant research, images or cool youtube links.

I am trying to find someone to give a program to children ages 5 to 17 on bugs and spiders for our summer reading program. The theme this year is (Scare Up a Good Book) which I am trying to find the things that scare kids. The thoughts have been clowns, dogs, snakes, spiders, bugs, storms, and tornadoes. I am having trouble year trying to find programs on the topics: if you could help in any way I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you Liz Heady youth programmer Prairie Skies Public Library District
